Get fit at Frederikhavn Svømmehal in North Jutland
Combine your swimming with a trip to the gym. In Frederikshavn Swimming Pool’s fitness department in North Jutland, we have now divided our facilities to focus on your favorite workout.
Come and use our fitness facilities, also on club nights when the swimming pools are reserved for clubs and associations.
Fitness, weight training and group training
You have access to the rooms every weekday between 06:00 and 21:00. Of course, you can also visit us on weekends when we are open until 17:00.
On the ground floor you will find our strength training room with various equipment.
If it’s exercise and cardio you’re interested in, try our gym on the first floor. Here you’ll find 3 treadmills, 5 bikes, 5 cross trainers and 2 rowing machines.
As an alternative to the gym, you can take part in our popular water aerobics classes. Our water aerobics instructors teach every weekday from 09:00 – 09:50 and on Wednesdays from 17:30 – 18:20.
Participation does not require registration. You just show up at the mentioned times.
The price to participate is only DKK 10,- per session. Simply buy an activity ticket and give it to the instructor before the class starts.
After your workout, you can relax in the steam room or wilderness sauna. Or why not book an appointment for a body massage or Hamam massage with our skilled masseurs?

Tabata team training
Come and try our new initiative – Tabata group training… High intensity and effective training.
Weight training
If you need to strengthen your muscles or increase your fat burning, try our weight training room on the ground floor. The room is located at the end of the swimming pool behind the practice pool.
Here you’ll find different types of training equipment where it’s possible to train all the muscles of the body. These include weight benches, dumbbells, barbells, cable crosses and squat racks.
For optimal utilization of our facilities, various information boards have been set up for both information and inspiration.
For hygienic reasons, it is not permitted to use the gym with bare upper body.
Finish your workout with a relaxing swim to soften muscles and joints or try one of our saunas.
Circuit training
If it’s exercise and cardio you’re interested in, try our fitness room on the first floor.
In the room you will find 3 treadmills, 5 cross trainers, 5 exercise bikes and 2 rowing machines.

Before and after training
You can start your workout with a light swim. This will loosen up your muscles and joints.
After your workout, it’s important to stretch your muscles. There are posters in our gyms for advice and guidance.
We recommend finishing off in the steam room or in one of our saunas. Sweat out the last of the waste products and soften muscles and joints.

Fitness advice and guidance
When you arrive at the swimming pool, simply find a locker for your clothes. Remember to bring a coin for the deposit lock! Once you’re dressed in your workout clothes and clean training shoes, go out into the swimming pool and turn right. At the end of the hall you will find the strength training room and up the spiral staircase on the first floor you will find our gym.
After your workout, you can enjoy a light swim to loosen up your muscles or soak up the heat in our beautiful steam room or large wilderness sauna.
