Washing/hygiene
All visitors to the swimming pool and wellness area must wash thoroughly, with soap and without swimwear, before leaving the changing area. This also applies after using the toilet. In the shower areas you will find soap that you are free to use both before and after your trip to the swimming pool.
We recommend that you read our about our hygiene and bathing rules here
Use of changing rooms
When you enter the locker room, we kindly ask you to remove your shoes and put them in the shoe rack before you leave the gray area. When you enter, take one of the lockers to put your belongings in.
The lockers in the changing rooms are equipped with deposit locks where you need a 20 kroner coin to lock your locker. You get the coin back when you open your locker again. Some lockers have a code lock.
Swimwear is not allowed behind the red line in the shower area.
Cell phone use is not allowed in the changing rooms.
Children aged 6 and up must be able to change in their own changing room. If your child is approaching 6 years old and is not ready to change themselves, we encourage you to start practicing changing with them well in advance.
Disabled-friendly swimming pool
In Frederikshavn swimming pool, each changing room has access to an enclosed disabled room.
The swimming pool also has a lift that can take wheelchair users into both the practice pool at 33 degrees and our 25 m pool at 27 degrees. The fun pool is also accessible for wheelchair users via the shore.
You can read more about our facilities for the disabled here.
Most important safety rules
When staying in and around our pools, please be aware that:
- Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult – even if they can swim.
- Use of the swimming pool is at your own risk. The lifeguard tries to prevent accidents and has overall supervision, but does not keep a special eye on YOUR child. The lifeguard is happy to talk to you for advice and guidance and is trained to help IF an accident occurs.
- Children who cannot swim must be supervised by an adult, regardless of age. We strongly encourage the use of belts and/or mittens, which you will find in the swimming pool for free use.
- To use the 25m pool, you must be able to swim 100m unaided and tread water for 2 minutes.
- Jumping upside down in shallow water.
- Staying under the lashes.
The pool attendant’s instructions must also be followed at all times.
You can read more about safety and supervision in the swimming pool here
