Good changing facilities

At the north end of the swimming pool you will find the baby changing area. The main advantage of the location in the swimming pool is that the temperature is higher than in the changing rooms. Here you’ll find 4 washbasins with showers, table and chairs, microwave for heating baby bottles and storage space for your changing bag etc.

We recommend that Mom or Dad start the visit by washing themselves in the respective changing rooms and then changing their baby in the changing area. You are very welcome to ask the staff for help or advice.

Smaller children who are not clean should wear a waterproof diaper and a swimsuit or trunks in case of accidents.

Baby swimming in Frederikshavn Svømmehal

Baby swimming in Frederikshavn swimming pool is done by signing up for one of our classes. Each team then goes through a course of 8 sessions. The team training allows you to focus on socializing with other new parents and their children as well as a personal experience for parents and child as there will be a maximum of 12 babies in each class. The swimming pool has an underwater camera available to take pictures of the children as a lasting memory of the experience.

In both the women’s and men’s changing rooms there are small bathtubs and changing cushions. Inside the swimming pool itself, there is a baby corner where you can bathe your child in peace and quiet. There are special sinks for children and changing cushions. It’s a good idea to bathe yourself first in the “normal” changing rooms, where you can then get your child ready.

Splash and play is for children from 1-4 years and their parents. Here we further develop the basic principles we have worked with in baby swimming before. However, it is not a prerequisite that the child has taken baby swimming, as we always adapt the exercises to the individual child. The purpose of splash and play is for the child to become confident both in and under water, while developing their swimming skills and social skills. We emphasize that the child develops through a positive learning process and that it takes place on the child’s terms.

Payment must be made at registration.

The price to participate is DKK 520,- for a course of 8 sessions. If both parents want to participate, there is an additional cost of DKK 36 per session.

The times for the teams are as follows:

Class 1: 2 – 6 months Mondays 11:00 – 11:30
Class 2: 6 – 12 months Mondays 11:30 – 12:00
Class 3: 2 – 6 months Fridays 15:30 – 16:00
Class 4: 6 – 12 months Fridays 16:00 – 16:30

Splash and play for 3 and 4 year olds – Mondays 16:15 – 16:45
Splash and play for 1 and 2 year olds – Fridays 16:30 – 17:00
